Health & Safety

The risks associated within educational establishments coupled with the fact our engineers spend a lot of time working at heights, requires Commercial Television Systems to take its health and safety responsibilities very seriously. We are mindful of the responsibilities placed on us directly by the HSE but also of the practices particular to the School, College or University.
To this extent all of our engineers are required to undertake courses in, Working at Heights, Ladder Training, Basic First Aid and achieve the CSCS card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme). All employees are trained in our Health and Safety policy, accident procedures and general education health & safety practices and procedures.
When starting a new site we ensure risk assessments and method statements are in place and that all employees are inducted to site properly with the appropriate person.
There is also a rolling programme in place for management to achieve SMSTS accreditation (Site Management Safety Train Scheme).
PDF copies of our policies, procedures and sample risk assessments/method statements are available upon request.
