Commercial Television Systems has a vast amount of experience undertaking work as part of the Decent Homes scheme. This includes and the installation of induction loop systems in community centres and residential homes, providing an increased level of security to residents and carrying out upgrades to communal TV systems for authorities preparing for the digital switchover.

Communal TV - The timetable for the digital switchover is now agreed with a starting date of 2008 for the Borders region, and the rest of the UK to follow shortly after. It is prudent for housing associations and councils with communal housing stock to plan their digital upgrade programme now to avoid the inevitable rush. As a company experienced in carrying out upgrades in this sector, we can help guide you through the process with surveys, system design, supply, installation and aftercare.

Security – Crime prevention and detection is an unfortunate but important consideration for any Council or Housing Association. We use the latest technology and installation techniques alongside our commitment to customer satisfaction to provide a professional level of service. Commercial Television Systems is able to offer a complete package of security solutions to ensure your residents peace of mind

Induction Loops – The Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) is now in full force. It obliges service providers such as housing associations and councils to make available facilities which ensure access to disabled customers. This includes the deaf and partially hearing community who are by far the largest group of disabled people in the UK.

Reasonable effort should be taken to accommodate the needs of the hearing impaired. If there are areas within your premises where background noise could disadvantage the hard of hearing, e.g. meeting rooms, communal areas, and TV rooms – Induction Loop systems should be considered.
