Electrical > Installation & Inspection

As a company originally established to install aerial and satellite systems to the public and commercial sector, it became increasingly important to offer the electrical aspectsof our installations as an in-house service. The benefit of self certifying our TV installations provided our customers with a more efficient installation and made it easier to expand the business into other areas such as Fire and Security installations. Building on the quality of our in-house installations, CTS were regularly asked to undertake additional electrical works for our clients. CTS now provide all aspects of installation work, inspection, testing and certification whether it is commercial, industrial or domestic.

Our professionally trained electricians are fully qualified in their field, with a minimum requirement of City and Guilds training standards which include the 17th Edition Wiring Regulations BS7671:2008. C&G 2391 inspection, testing and certification of electrical installations. They have been specifically selected for their attitude, workmanship and professionalism and are CRB checked for your peace of mind.

Testing & Inspection

Owners of buildings have a duty of care to all users. As all electrical installations deteriorate due to a number of factors, i.e. damage, wear and tear, corrosion, excessive electrical loading, ageing and environmental influences, Legislation requires that electrical installations are maintained in a safe condition.

Therefore installations must be periodically inspected and tested to ensure compliance with BS 7671 (IEE Wiring Regulations). Depending upon the type of establishment, the frequency of inspection and testing will vary. However, all electrical installations require testing to meet the requirements of the Regulations.

Upon completion of a test, CTS will supply you with a comprehensive report accredited by the NICEIC within 10 working days. If there are any faults reported, these are categorised within the industry standard coding system of 1 to 4, depending on the severity of the fault found. Code 1 being a fault found that is in need of immediate attention and Code 4 being an observation that does not comply with current regulations.

CTS can help you to comply with your legal obligations regarding electrical safety. Providing an efficient and reliable service to the highest quality standards, and an excellent asset management tool.
